Music
I’ve played guitar since high school, mostly for myself, working out songs and melodies by ear. In college I played in our college bands for arts fests and events, and I whistle too. These are a few recordings I like, including two songs of my own. There’s more, rougher stuff on my YouTube.
House of the Rising Sun (2026)
My most recent one. Fingerstyle guitar, plus a little falsetto.
A song I wrote, with Arun (2022)
An original I still really like, played with my good friend Arun. It was recorded during COVID, hence the mask. I messed up the ending, but I left it in.
A piano tune I came up with in a mall (2023)
I barely play piano. But a mall had small keyboards stacked up on display, I had time to kill, and this melody came out of it.
IEEE × Bharatham, MEC (2022)
Our friend Amith had to talk Devan and me into this one. I’m on lead guitar, Devan on rhythm and Madhav on cajón: Counting Stars, Shape of You, the Game of Thrones theme and Love Yourself.
While My Guitar Gently Weeps (2023)
The Beatles, with the Garudas western band in my final year. I’m on bass this time.
Gulaabi Aankhen, whistled (2022)
A whistle version of the old Hindi song, for the after-hours evening at KochiFOSS. I was volunteering at the conference that week, so we put it together with two practice rounds.
The Office theme (2022)
Three friends on a random college day. Me whistling, Deb on harmonica, Aroon on guitar.
