Travel

I’ve been fortunate enough to have travelled to quite a few places after university. And I’ve come to believe that travel genuinely changes you — it opens your eyes a little, gives you taste, and leaves you with experiences you can’t really get any other way. You come back a slightly different person each time, which I think is the whole point.

These are write-ups of some of the places I’ve been — in the US, in India, and beyond. Part itinerary, part travelogue, part the little things I picked up along the way. If you’re planning a trip to one of these spots, I’ve tried to leave behind enough practical notes to actually be useful.

  1. A solo weekend in New Orleans

Three days alone in New Orleans — the French Quarter and its tangled French-Spanish-American history, a swamp full of alligators, Preservation Hall jazz, a streetcar to the Garden District, and the National WWII Museum, which turned out to be the best thing I did all weekend. Plus all the food, and practical notes for anyone planning their own trip.
